Biography

 

Kian Assemi graduated from Fresno State University with his master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018, and began his doctoral training in behavior analysis at the University of Nevada, Reno in Fall of 2019. His primary areas of interest include verbal behavior and cultural behavior analysis. He has had experience in clinical work, undergraduate teaching, and collaborations with an academic team in cybersecurity and computer engineering, leadership groups in a medical school, and a global energy company under the advisement of Ramona Houmanfar. Projects within these efforts ranged from training behavior analytic principles and procedures, Acceptance and Commitment Training, Cultural Humility training and measurement, leadership training in Organizational Behavior Management, and assessment of cooperative repertoires in the context of human-AI cooperation. He is currently on the editorial board for Behavior and Social Issues and is pursuing an academic career in Behavior Analysis having seven publications and over 20 presentations completed.
