Biography
João Aristides Tomaz de Almeida is a clinical psychologist, university professor and researcher. He majored in Psychology (2016) from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) and earned his Master (2019) and PhD (2024) in Theory and Research of Behavior from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA), where he completed the CBS Concentration. During his master's and doctoral studies, he experimentally investigated self-control at the cultural level. The CBS Concentration training included courses in the area of social behavior and cultural selection, including interpretive and experimental research, and resulted in the publication of the article ''Cultural Practices in Brazilian Agribusiness from the perspective of Behavior Analysis (Imbiriba et al., 2023). João Aristides Tomaz de Almeida is a member of the Think Tank of Culture and Clinical Practice, which seeks to integrate how cultural variables are related to clinical complaints. He is currently developing research in the area of social skills and self-control.
