Ellen P. Reese

Ellen P. Reese (1926–1997) was the Norma Cutts Dafoe professor of psychology at Mount Holyoke College. She received her BA in psychology from Mount Holyoke in 1948, her MA in 1954 and her entire teaching career as a professor at Mount Holyoke as well. The Ellen P. Reese Grants for Faculty/Student Research has been established in her name. Reese was honored in 1986 by the American Psychological Association with the Distinguished Contribution to Education in Psychology Award and has been included on the APA’s list of the “100 Most Important Women in Psychology.”
