Rita Olla

Rita Olla is PhD student in Behavior Analysis from the University of Nevada-Reno where she also received her master’s degree under the mentorship of Dr. Ramona Houmanfar. She received the bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cagliari, Italy with Professor Giulio Bolacchi working with him in the management of the International Graduate Program in Science of Organization. Her current research interests are directed to studying (1) the behavioral and cultural basis of the functioning of organized groups and society via the exploration of the concept of cultural milieu, (2) how the cultural milieu can be determined via the application of the Q Methodology, (3) how the results from the Q studies can inform leadership’s communication and plans.
Further investigations will concern:
(a) the analysis of the relation between the IRAP (Implicit Relational Assessment Procedure) results and the Q Methodology as assessment tools to provide a measure of the history of environmental interactions of the individuals and how these measures are related to the individual behavior under the control of contextual factors, as well as their history,
(b) how to set up large-scale investigations via surveys based on the Q results to measure the incidence of the opinions in the extended community,
(c) statistical tool to analyze cumulative choices, longitudinal and cross sectional ones.
She currently serves as Student representative at the ABAI Executive Council, and she is a member of the Editorial Board of Behavior and Social Issues.
